About Us

The Inpiration

In 2014, three high school classmates (‘Iolani 2005) were in a car ride in Hokianaga, New Zealand. It was then that we decided that it was time to put our skills together to create something greater than ourselves.

American society has become engrossed with negativity – from terror stories headlining the 10 PM news to clickbait articles throughout social media. It has been said that it is human nature to attend to what is going wrong rather than highlight the things going right. Despite the focus on the negative, we often feel we are too busy or too tired to help make these situations better. We founded Project Yaytimes with the intention of changing these attitudes.
